PROBLEM: We said it was the United State Census Bureau when in fact it is the United States Census Bureau.

SOLUTION: Whether for a person or thing, make sure that all proper names are correctly spelled.

PROBLEM: In one case we cited data from 1977. In fact, the data was from 1997.

SOLUTION: Double-check all facts, figures, names and titles after finishing writing, to make sure what you wrote was correct and what you intended to write.
