JRN 200: Your Tuesday Homework

In the 10th edition of Reporting For The Media please read chapters 6 and 7 (p. 129-186) before Thursday, Nov. 14.

Plus, don't forget that tip sheets for the third and fourth out-of-class stories are also due no later than 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 via email to omars@msu.edu. The fourth story is optional; if you do it, then of your four out-of-classers, the three best grades will be considered for your final grade, with your worst grade tossed out.


And your second multimedia package -- including tweets, blog posts and video -- is due no later than 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, via email to omars@msu.edu. Please put ALL your links to your work into a single email, with the subject line of MM2.  


Plus, time is winding down for us to do our job shadows. I still need to get job shadow proposals from most folks, with written job shadow reports due no later than 9 a.m. on the last day of the semester, which is Thursday, Dec. 5 via email to omars@msu.edu.

Deadlines for the rest of the semester are as follows:

You will get third out-of-class story tip sheets back before the end of the day Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Your third out-of-class story will be due no later than 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

You will have your graded third out-of-class story back to you by the end of the day Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Your third out-of-class story rewrite will be due no later than 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, which is the last day of class.

Also due no later than 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 will be your third multimedia package, which should be slugged/subject lined as MM3; your optional fourth out-of-class story (for which there will not be a rewrite opportunity), your job shadow report and your optional first-day personality profile rewrite for extra credit.
