Murder: Without Fatals

It figures that you all would pick an assignment slugged "murder" to be your first assignment without a single fact fatal.

Congrats to all! Now, let's remember we need to remain vigilant.

And our vigilance needs to regard ALL facets of writing and filing a story. One of us made deadline, but we attached the wrong assignment to the email. That's a time fatal (since I didn't receive the correct version by deadline), and that's a 0.0. Which is a shame, because the person did an outstanding job on the story, which I saw once I made the person aware of the mistake.

And yes, in the real world this would be a bad thing. If you're writing a script for the 11 o'clock news and you give the anchor the wrong script, that anchor is gonna look like an idiot on the air. And you're gonna be looking for a new job.

So, let's work out our bad habits and build our good habits here and now, okay?
