That's a Mob phrase for someone getting killed. As in, a fatal. And yes, we had some.

It's the usual variety, which will lead to my usual plea to please double-check each bit of information against your notes with your own eyeballs, as opposed to relying too much on spell check, which once again wouldn't have caught any of the errors.

In one case, we referred to the prof as both Gant and Grant. If we properly fact-checked the story, we'd know we spelled one name two ways, and that one has to be wrong. (The correct version was Gant.)

Likewise, we referred to Gant both as she and he. Again, if we thoroughly vetted our written work before sending it in, we'd notice we referred to one person by two sexes, and one had to be wrong. (In fact, she was a she.)
