ASSIGNMENT GRADE: 1.0 (1 FATAL FACT
ERROR)
INSTRUCTOR’S COMMENTS: THIS FATAL
REALLY BREAKS MY HEART BECAUSE YOU DID SUCH A WONDERFUL JOB ON THIS STORY. BUT
JOURNALISM ISN’T ABOUT WRITING; IT’S ABOUT GETTING IT RIGHT, AND THE MOST BASIC
FACT IS A NAME. PLEASE DO CONSIDER DOING A REWRITE FOR THIS; SIMPLY FIXING THE NAME
FATALS WILL RESULT INA SUBSTANTIAL BOOST IN THE ASSIGNMENT GRADE. AND GOING
FORWARD, PLEASE MAKE SURE WE ARE PROPERLY CHECKING OUR WORK, NOUN BY NOUN AND
NUMBER BY NUMBER AND TITLE BY TITLE AND SUCH. YOU’RE DOING GREAT WORK IN THIS
CLASS, BUT WE NEED TO BE AS VIGILANT AS WE ARE HARD-WORKING AND TALENTED.
Sadly, this wasn't the only instance of someone writing a great story but fataling a name. Please, don't let anyone else learn this the hard way.
